Employees who work hourly and seasonally earn 1 day (8 hours) of sick leave for every 200 hours worked, up to a total of 3 sick days in a calendar year. Employees who work hourly and seasonally cannot transfer sick leave from one year to the next. At the end of the year, employees will receive half of the unused sick leave. If employment is terminated before the end of the season or the payroll year, the employee loses accumulated sick time.
In some cases, insurers have contracts with providers that stipulate that all invoices must be sent to the insurer before payment can be made.
